Description

Ground cardamom is used all over the world in a wide variety of sweet and savory foods including Indian food, baked goods such as cakes and cookies and in beverages including chai and herbal teas. It has a very complex flavor being citrusy, minty, spicy and herbal all at the same time. Highly fragrant, It pairs well with other spices including cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, cloves, and ginger.

Also known as cardamon or cardamum, cardamom is a spice used throughout the world as a culinary ingredient. Native to the Indian subcontinent and Indonesia, cardamom seeds are located within a small pod that is spindle-shaped. The seeds within the pod are what is used as a spice.

Cardamon is the world's third most expensive spice behind vanilla and saffron, however, a little goes a long way.

The product shelf life is dependent on storage conditions. It should be stored under cool, dry conditions and in a humidity-controlled environment. When stored under optimum conditions, the shelf life is 24 months from the date of manufacture.
