Cargill's Untreated Purified Sea Salt is a food-grade, granular, white crystalline sodium chloride product manufactured under stringent process control procedures. It is made from Pacific Ocean sea salt, which is harvested from ponds near the San Francisco Bay. It has a wide variety of uses in food manufacturing including that of making mayonnaise, salad dressing, margarine, conventional churn butter, canning delicate vegetables such as peas, lima beans, and tomatoes, and canning high acid and pickled vegetables.
