Our sorghum flour is milled from 100% white sorghum. It has a mild, neutral flavor with a light color and pleasing texture. It is a wonderful ingredient for gluten-free baking. It can be used to make cakes, breads, pizza, quick breads and cookies.
A member of the grass family, sorghum is the 5th most important cereal crop grown in the world. It is cultivated in warm climates worldwide, but is predominately grown in Africa, Central America and South Asia. It is an important food in arid regions as it is drought and heat tolerant making it a staple food for poor and rural families. Its nutritional profile is similar to that of raw oats being high in protein, fiber, B vitamins and minerals such as iron and manganese.

The shelf life of this product is dependent on storage conditions and is highly variable. It should be stored at ambient temperatures and low humidity. The industry standard for shelf life, when stored under optimum conditions, is 12 months from the date of manufacture.
