The color of peppermint essential oil is clear with a yellow tinge. The peppermint plant itself is a hybrid of water mint and spearmint. It is indigenous to Europe and the Middle East but now is grown and cultivated all over the world. One of its most prominent naturally occurring chemical components is menthol but also contains menthone and menthyl acetate. Being from the same plant family, it blends well with lavender, rosemary and clary sage. Peppermint flowers are large nectar producers, making them heavily foraged by honey bees and other pollinators.

All of our essential oils are 100% pure, undiluted oils. We strive to source the highest quality oils from established, reputable suppliers that value purity, sustainability and natural practices. We are often questioned by customers whether our oils are “therapeutic grade”.
The term “therapeutic grade” was created and trademarked by newer essential oil companies to differentiate their products from others on the market. The truth of the matter is that the Food and Drug Administration does not certify the quality of essential oils as “therapeutic grade” nor do they provide a certifying label. GloryBee Essential Oils provide the same quality, purity, and reputability as therapeutic grade oils – often times at a lower prices.
